What is Tuak?
Tuak is a traditional rice wine brewed by the Iban, Bidayuh, and other indigenous communities of Sarawak. Fermented from glutinous rice and ragi (yeast), it has been the centrepiece of Gawai celebrations and longhouse gatherings for centuries.
What sets ours apart starts with the yeast. We don't buy it in — we inherit our ragi, culturing our own at our yeast house in Kampung Beratok from 18 secret ingredients, so every batch carries the same living strain. Tuak Madis brings these heritage recipes to your doorstep — without shortcuts, without compromise.
